Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Mātauranga Symposium
Celebrating Kotahitanga
The inaugural Kahungunu Mātauranga Symposium Event, 2025, aspires to build on the success of the Te Ao Mārama Podcast, ‘Everything mātauranga’. The Symposium promotes Kahungunutanga, our mātauranga and tikanga, the continuation of cultural revitalisation, educational advancement and community engagement. Furthermore, this event will provide a kanohi ki te kanohi opportunity to meet some of the guests from the podcast, who will ‘talk story’ and empower through their knowledge and understanding.
Kotahitanga is the theme for this inaugural event, making it the year's professional learning and development event. If you want to better understand how to champion education for all those living throughout Kahungunu and beyond, then this is the event for you.
The presenters and facilitators of this Symposium are ordinarily extraordinary people with diverse backgrounds. Some of them are guests from the podcast series 'Te Ao Mārama ' Everything Mātauranga'
